Ikigai Coaching
Similar to way I have watched sushi grow in popularity to the point you can buy it even at petrol stations. Almost anything wrapped in rice and nori paper it seems may be offered as sushi. But this is a far cry from the original art of this exquisite food experience.
Ikigai, I fear may be going in the same direction, its is fast becoming a buzz word for boardrooms and business ‘dojos’ to the point I fear it is being reduced to an exotic alternative to any other aspirational exercise. This is a far cry from this ancient, life enhancing philosophy.
Life is complicated, nuanced, fragile, full of beauty and brokenness. Appreciating the wonder of ikigai takes a little time. Just like your life. You didn’t just get here in an instant, myriads of life choices and changes have brought you to this point, where you are here looking at this page!
Discovering your ikigai is a journey into sincerity and self-appraisal. Who you are? Where you are? What you want and what is possible? These answers will take time to define and become reality but navigating the course can be enjoyable, illuminating and ultimately highly rewarding.
If you feel you would like to begin your ikigai journey with me, please select the options below to choose how I may help you.

What is Ikigai?
Ikigai is a Japanese term of two words: “iki” meaning “to live,” and “gai” meaning “reason,” this broadly translates into “a reason to live.” Ikigai is an ancient life philosophy that encourages people to discover what truly matters to them and then orientate their lives to find purpose, joy and fulfilment.
